Phoenix UAS Remote-ID Module
Fly your FPV drone with confidence and comply with FAA regulations using the Phoenix UAS Remote-ID Module. Built by FPV pilots, for FPV pilots, this compact and lightweight module is designed to provide a simple and versatile solution for Remote ID broadcasting. It integrates seamlessly with your existing setup, allowing you to fly legally without sacrificing performance or key features like GPS navigation.
Meet FAA Remote ID Requirements
This module broadcasts your FPV drone’s identification and location information as required by FAA regulations for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Installing this essential drone part on your custom-built FPV drone (over 250g) allows you to fly legally in non-FRIA airspace with peace of mind, knowing you are compliant with current rules.
Seamless GPS Passthrough – Keep Your Features
Unlike basic modules that force you to choose between compliance and functionality, the Phoenix UAS Remote ID features an intelligent passthrough design. It connects between your existing M10 GPS module and your flight controller. This ensures your FC still receives all the necessary GPS and compass data, so you don’t lose critical features like Return-to-Home, GPS rescue, or on-screen coordinates and speed.
Key Features:
- FAA Remote ID Compliant: Broadcasts your drone’s location and identification data, allowing you to fly legally in non-FRIA airspace.
- Intelligent GPS Passthrough: Retain all your existing GPS-based features like Return-to-Home and OSD data while being compliant.
- Flexible Power Options: Power it from your drone’s 5V BEC for a permanent install, or use a 1S battery to create a portable, transferable unit.
- Ultralight & Compact: At only 2.2 grams, it adds compliance with a minimal weight penalty.
- Clear Status LEDs: Four onboard LEDs provide instant visual feedback on power, GPS lock, and broadcast status.
IMPORTANT: Requires External GPS
Please note that this is a broadcast-only module and does not have its own internal GPS sensor. It requires a user-provided M10 Ublox-based GPS module to receive location data, which it then broadcasts for Remote ID compliance.
